Coming off a very successful 40th anniversary, the 20 km Brussels and its organizers are delighted to announce that registrations are now open for the next edition of the 20 km Brussels that will be running this coming 31st of May 2020, in the Belgian and European capital of Brussels.

Whether you're a competitive runner, a week-end warrior or just looking to take in the sights and the festive atmosphere of this special event, the 20 km Brussels has it all. Organized at the end of May every year since 1980, this now-iconic contest draws 25,000 participants annually on its 20 km course that starts in the 'Parc du Cinquantenaire' before heading south in the Cambre forest and around through the Woluwe park.

Everyone over the age of 12 is welcomed and that obviously includes handibikes. Come and take part in this amazing experience through Brussels! Save the date: May 31st!

The 20 km Brussels starts in the heart of the Belgian capital, in the 'Parc du Cinquantenaire', with the start usually being given by a member of the Belgian royal family. This year, the course heads west towards the Central train station and the Justice Palace before taking 'Avenue Louise' all the way into the suburbs of Brussels and the woods of the Cambre. Upon exiting the Cambre forest and reaching the halfway point of the race, runners will receive an electrolyte drink courtesy of Isostar before heading along the 'Chaussée de la Hulpe' across the E411 highway and into the Woluwe park. It will then be time for the final 2-kilometer sprint on Tervueren Avenue and into the 'Parc du Cinquantenaire' to cross the finish line.

Six water supply points will be dispersed along the course on top of the electrolyte drink given at the halfway mark. Each finisher will receive a banana and a medal for its efforts. And to make things even more enjoyable for the runners, bands will be playing live music throughout the race.
