The Cardiff Half Marathon is one of the biggest and most exciting races in the United Kingdom and quickly becoming one of Europe's largest half-marathon. First started in 2003, the Cardiff Half Marathon attracts today more than 27,500 runners from all over the world who come to battle it out on its fast and flat course through the famous Welsh capital.

Member of the 'SuperHalfs', a series of prestigious half marathons taking place through Europe, this year's edition will be held on Sunday 4th of October 2020 in Cardiff and supported by the Cardiff University. World-class competitors like Leonard Langat, holder of the course's record time, or Jack Rayner will be sharing the start line with amateur runners and wheelchair athletes under the cheers and roars of the thousands of spectators.

Organized by Run 4 Wales, the Cardiff Half Marathon also supports a large number of charities in their fight against child abuse, Alzheimer's, heart disease and mental health issues. More than 3 million pounds are raised each year for these causes.

With a host of family-friendly activities organized throughout the weekend, the Cardiff Half Marathon offers everything you could ask for from an event of this stature. It's the one you can't afford to miss so sign up now before registrations are full!

The fast course of the Cardiff Half Marathon passes through most of the city's famous landmarks, historical building and breath-taking scenery. The start of this 21 km race takes place in the city centre, right outside the Cardiff Castle and heads past the Cardiff City Stadium into Penarth. The runners will then cross the Cardiff Bay Barrage into Cardiff Bay and past the Norwegian Church and the Wales Millennium Centre and keep tracking north into a loop of the Roath Park Lake before sprinting to the finish line in front of the Civic Centre, in the heart of the city.

There will be a number of water, energy gel and toilet stations located around the course.

Family and kids races will also take place on the Saturday before the event, as well as workshops and street entertainment to keep everyone busy.
