Book on your calendar for January 19, 2020 ! ARELGO SPORTS organizes in El Berrueco the fifth edition of the Genaro Trail mountain race. The circuit will be carried out entirely along the Senda de Genaro with a layout designed for athletes to enjoy this spectacular route. The route will be circular, with its start and finish in El Berrueco.

Within Genaro Trail there will be the possibility of making shorter distances.

  • GENARO TRAIL 48K
  • GENARO ADVANCE 18K
  • GENARO XTREM 12K
  • 48K RELAYS: The relay mode consists of the 48k Genaro Trail distance, divided into two stages and performed by two runners without any external help.

The obligatory material for the tests are (not carrying the obligatory material supposes the sanction and / or even disqualification):

GENARO TRAIL 48K

  • Canister or folding glass to receive supplies during the tour.
  • Hydration system (backpack with camel back or waist bag with drums)
  • Trail running shoes (no barefoot running allowed)
  • Windbreaker or Raincoat
  • Thermal blanket, whistle, phone with a charged battery (record the organization's phone)
  • Minimum 3 bars or gels
  • 1 liter of water
  • It is mandatory to be knowledgeable of the route or take the printed map or take the track on the gps or mobile

GENARO ADVANCE 18K

  • Backpack or fanny pack with drum (500ml of water)
  • 1 gel or stick
  • Sleeves or windbreak
  • TRAIL Running shoes (no barefoot running allowed)
  • Mobile phone with a charged battery (record the organization's phone)

GENARO XTREM 14K

  • TRAIL Running shoes (no barefoot running allowed)

* At this distance it is not mandatory but it is recommended :

  • Backpack or fanny pack with drum (500ml of water)
  • 1 gel or stick
  • Sleeves or windbreak
  • Mobile phone with a charged battery (record the organization's phone)

* It is recommended at all distances:

  • Leg loops at all distances
  • The use of poles is allowed at all distances

The Genaro Path is a circuit that unites the towns that make up the Atazar reservoir community, with a distance of 48K, circular and a maximum altitude of 1,530 meters. For the tour, you will depart from Berrueco and follow the numerous signs and beacons on the GR300 and GR10 towards the Atazar Reservoir, El Atazar Village, Robledillo de la Jara, Siete Iglesias, until you reach the starting point, El Berrueco.

It is, therefore, a demanding but accessible test thanks to the different distances it offers and the option of participating in relay mode. In this way, from Racetick we encourage you to discover this place of great natural interest due to its variety of rocks, flora and fauna.
