The weekend of July 19 awaits the inescapable appointment of the Great Aneto-Posets Trail in the Benasque Valley (Huesca)! The Benasque valley is the most alpine and beautiful of all the Pyrenees. With its more than 30 towns and villages, with its Alto-Aragonese architecture, its Romanesque churches, its ancestral customs, its language, its landscapes ..., it is, without a doubt, a place for adventure, meeting and resting required during a stay in the Pyrenees.

The Gran Trail Aneto-Posets consists of five routes in total:

  • Gran Aneto-Posets Trail : 105 kilometers and 6,760 meters of positive elevation gain.
  • Return to Aneto : 55 kilometers and 3,630 meters of positive elevation.
  • Las Tucas Marathon : 42 kilometers and 2,500 meters of positive elevation gain .
  • Return to Pico Cerler : 26.9 kilometers and 1,250 meters of positive elevation gain.
  • Back to the Cerler Mill : 13.8 kilometers and 460 meters of positive elevation gain.

The Gran Trail Aneto-Posets runs through all kinds of terrain, from tracks and trails to snowfields and block chaos that surround the two highest peaks of the Pyrenees: the Aneto (3,404 m) and the Posets (3,375 m).

It is a spectacular race, in conditions of semi-self-sufficiency, that unites these two mountain ranges, forming an infinite route. From the town of Benasque , the Gran Trail begins with the return to Aneto , towards the La Renclusa refuge , to go up the Barrancs valley , ascend to the Salenques pass (2,797m) and then head towards the Ballibierna valley . After passing through Benasque again, the ascent to Cerler begins, from where it descends to the picturesque town of Anciles and reaches Eriste to start the return to the Posets massif . In this section the highest level of the test will be exceeded , the Col de la Forqueta , at 2,900 m. From this point we descend to the Biadós refuge and, following the GR 11 , we reach the Estós refuge , completing the tour with the return to Benasque .

Runners who complete the 2019 edition of the Great Trail Aneto-Posets will earn 5 ITRA points .

27.5 km of the route over 2,000 m.
6.1 km of asphalt / 8.8 km of track / 24.2 km of trail / 15.9 km off road.

The Vuelta al Aneto runs through all kinds of terrain, from tracks and trails to snowfields and chaos of blocks that surround the Maladeta massif , crowned by the summit of Aneto (3,404 m).

This great tour begins in the town of Benasque , from where it heads towards the La Renclusa refuge . After visiting the impressive Foraud'Aigualluts , it runs through the Barrancs valley and passes high hills, such as that of Salenques (2,797m), to return to Benasque through the Ballibierna valley , having circulated among countless ibons and others. landscapes of the high pyrenean mountains.

Runners who complete the 2019 edition of the Vuelta al Aneto will earn 3 ITRA points .

  • TUCAS MARATHON

8.5 km of the route over 2,000 m.
3.4 km of asphalt / 13.3 km of track / 25.4 km of trail.

The Tucas Marathon unites the shelters of Estós and Ángel Orús by means of tracks and trails that surround the famous Tucas de Ixeia (2,840 m), within the framework of a superb Pyrenees.

Starting in the town of Benasque , the route ascends along the GR 11 to the Estós refuge , from where you continue to visit the spectacular ibis of Batisielles, cross the Col de la Plana (2,708 m) and reach the next control point , located in the Ángel Orús refuge . From here, you descend through the Eriste / Ball de Grist valley , before the impressive Espigantosa waterfall , to return to Benasque passing through the towns of Eriste , Anciles and Cerler .

Runners who complete the 2019 edition of the Tucas Marathon will earn 2 ITRA points .

  • BACK TO PICO CERLER

3.3 km of the route over 2000 m.
4.9 km of asphalt / 12 km of track / 7.2 km of trail / 2.8 km off road.

The Vuelta al pico Cerler half marathon runs through tracks and trails that connect Benasque with other towns and nearby places, taking as a reference the Cerler peak and one of the best areas for downhill skiing in the Pyrenees.

From its start in the town of Benasque , the race heads towards the urbanization of Linsoles along the banks of the Ésera river, arriving later at the picturesque town of Anciles , to take the signposted path PR-HU 33, which ascends to the town of Cerler. . From here it goes to surround the Cerler peak, continuing towards the Ampriu , where the route crosses the facilities of Aramón-Cerler , passing through the Colladeta and the Cota 2000 station. After reaching the base of the station in El Molino and crossing Cerler , a dizzying descent begins along PR-HU 27 and 28 , crossing the finish line again in Benasque .

Runners who complete the 2019 edition of the Vuelta al Pico Cerler will get 1 ITRA point .

  • BACK TO CERLER MILL

4.9 km of asphalt / 1.9 km of track / 7 km of trail.

The Vuelta al Molino de Cerler runs through tracks and trails that connect the town of Benasque with the towns of Anciles and Cerler.

It is a route designed for those under 18 to participate, although those over 18 are not excluded, quite the contrary, as it is perfect to start this type of mountain race in the Pyrenees.
