"Run In" events are much more than just running; these are running festivals which take place in several major French cities and which, every year, brings together runners from all horizons and levels to enjoy a sporting and friendly moment.
The meeting for the city of Lyon is therefore set for Sunday October 4, 2020 for the 11th edition of Run In Lyon ! This event is the perfect opportunity for any Lyonnais sportsman to revisit the capital of Gaul with routes through the historic center of this city steeped in history. Several modalities will be proposed so that everyone can find their account:
- The Marathon , the most classic distance of running races but which has the particularity of being able to be run in relay or solo
- The Half Marathon
- The 10 km
These are not the options that therefore lack more excuses! Register now to be sure to have your place and we'll meet on October 4 on the starting line!
The Run in Lyon wants to be accessible to any sportsman and for that proposes several distances of tests:
Although the 2020 route is not yet confirmed, everything suggests that it will be quite similar to the 2019 route with a departure from the Palais de Justice to go up the Saône to Barbe Island before making a U-turn for join the Rhône by the Croix-Rousse tunnel. Then, a small detour through the Parc de la Tête d'Or before descending along the Rhone to the legendary Stade Gerland before leaving towards the center through the Confluence district to finish Place Bellecour. All of which remains to be confirmed by the organizers shortly.
Note that this route is also possible in relay of two or three.
- The Half Marathon
The route of the Half Marathon is roughly the same as that of the Marathon on the first part of the route. On the other hand, from the Tête d'Or Park, the two courses diverge and that of the Half Marathon will leave directly for Place Bellecour instead of going down the Rhône to the Stade Gerland.
- The 10 KM
The 10 km course is pleasing to both legs and eyes. The start will therefore be given in front of the Palais de Justice in Old Lyon and the runners will set off on the banks of the Saône and in front of the Music Conversation before crossing the Croix-Rousse to reach the banks of the Rhône and then passing in front of the Hotel de Ville and cross the finish line on Place Bellecour.
